Illustation, Digified

I've been experimenting with the Wacom tablet, something I need work with, considering it's a pretty vital tool in the illustration field. This is a finished piece I'm working on, utilizing cell shading technique, it's a difficult concept for me to grasp, I think it's mainly my subject matter that's causing me to resent unconventional color, or just my indecisive dilemmas I have with deciding on a palette. I'll be using a color site as a resource to limit my palettes for now on, for the practice. This is a work in progress, enjoy!

Sketches

I've been doing sketches for a project, the catch is we picked two words, a verb and a noun, I picked "Beast" and "Stack." We are to make preliminary work that illustrates these words in the way we'd interpret them, I so far sketched two beastly looking bulldogs towering over a nicely "stacked" serving a pancakes.

Ya'll Want a Hot Dog?

Well I've finished my wacom piece, I'm satisfied with it, just got to get the feel of a wacom. I need to discover new techniques with brushes, affects and layering eventually, but for now, this works fine. I tend to use my brushes on the softer side, so it's not as crisp as it could be.

Here's EVEN more recent work from last semester also...

Some actually finished work.....

Here's some more recent work from last semester at MICA, which is much more finished than my Digital hot dog piece, it mainly consists of acrylic paintings for the most part. These are from Fall/Winter 2009.

Hey everyone, I just started up this new blog, so here's a new post. I am currently learning how to use a Wacom tablet, it's getting better, it's just quite the transition from my usual traditional methods. Here's a practice piece of food I like to eat. It's not done yet, but this is the progression so far... any suggestions for me to better my method or skill?
